Job summary

CalHR seeks a Social Service Aide to assist Social Workers, manage routine caseloads, and perform assessments for in-home support and child/adult services. The role supports families by teaching budgeting, nutrition, and household skills, with supervision from a Social Worker Supervisor.

Besides routine duties, the position entails documenting services, making referrals, and coordinating with medical and social service professionals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of In-Home Support Services rules and Welfare and Institution Codes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a routine caseload of elderly adults receiving household services.
• Conduct ongoing client needs assessments and verify with providers.
• Provide direct training and counseling to parents on parenting and household management.
