Job summary

Rush Street Interactive is seeking a SOC Analyst to join the Security Operations team safeguarding our online gaming and sports betting platforms. You will monitor SIEM and related tooling, triage alerts, respond to incidents, and enhance detection coverage across the environment.

The role requires 2+ years in cybersecurity, a related degree, and hands-on experience with SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and XDR tools. Remote work is available for eligible US/Canada locations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a cybersecurity role with hands-on SOC process experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Security, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certifications such as GSEC, GCIH, CompTIA, BTL1 or BTL2.
  • Practical experience with SIEM management, vulnerability scanners, and XDR tools.
  • Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, and core protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor SIEM and related security platforms, reviewing logs, events, and alerts for suspicious or anomalous activity.
  • Investigate and classify alerts, eliminate false positives, correlate activity with known attack patterns, and prioritize incidents by severity and impact.
  • Execute incident response playbooks, create and improve documentation, and support forensic investigations and evidence collection.
  • Participate in vulnerability management activities and collaborate with internal stakeholders on threat mitigation.
  • Tune detection rules, identify coverage gaps, and recommend or implement improvements to monitoring systems.
  • Document incidents, findings, and remediation steps in detailed reports.
