GuidePoint Security LLC is seeking a skilled Security Automation Engineer to design and implement automated security workflows across SIEM, EDR/XDR, and SOAR platforms. You will translate client security needs into reliable, repeatable automation with robust error handling and monitoring.

This remote-first role supports US-based teams, leveraging Python scripting and REST API integrations, with opportunities to work with AI-enabled tooling and modern security tech.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security operations with end-to-end SOC understanding.
• 3+ years designing and building security automation/orchestration workflows.
• Hands-on experience with at least one SOAR/automation platform (Tines, Torq, or Cortex XSOAR).
• Proficiency integrating security and IT systems via REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON.
• Python scripting for custom logic in automated workflows.
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR/XDR, ticketing (ServiceNow, Jira), threat intel, and email security.
• Ability to decompose manual security processes into automated workflows with error handling.
