Job summary

Research Innovations, Inc. (RII) seeks a DoW SkillBridge Targeting Operations Intern to prototype and produce hardware for the CJADC2 team.

This remote internship offers exposure to high-stakes manufacturing, systems engineering, and operational planning in a government-focused lab. You will work with engineering leads and user units to translate SOPs and CONOPS into practical software and hardware solutions, capture user stories, draft artifacts, and deliver briefings to project teams.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of relevant targeting experience at senior levels
• Military service as senior NCO, Warrant Officer, or Commissioned Officer
• Strong communication with military officials and staff
• Experience with Army Tactical systems and joint fires systems

Responsibilities

• Provide SME support for the Joint Targeting Platform
• Support systems engineering activities driving development of novel software capabilities
• Understand SOPs/CONOPS/TTPs to enable effective use of the prototype
• Capture user stories and draft system engineering artifacts
• Identify desired system functionality and validate use cases
• Collaborate with Army/Joint/Coalition units to improve software design and TTPs
• Assist in training development and user training support
• Create and deliver high-quality briefings and reports
