Qualifications

At the heart of the Schneider Electric Regional Execution Platform (REP) in Bratislava, the Remote Site Project Technical Expert role focuses on ensuring smooth and consistent site operations across multiple projects.

Role

Place of work: Bratislava, Slovakia or your EU home country

Able to travel internationally for 30 % of working time

Scope and Environment: Energy management / Global Customer projects Operations / Site Works Department

Responsibilities
  • Collects all needed technical documents from design team, prepares or collects test procedures, and follows up on all logistic topics (secure site access process, visa, etc.).
  • Ensures consistency in site activities across the same type of sites in terms of methods, tools and processes.
  • Prepares a full package for Installation & Commissioning Site Activities (costing, planning, setup, method statement, risk assessment, etc.) as technical support for B Cat. project.
YOUR ROLE IN ACTION
  • At tendering stage, based on technical documents prepared by the Tender Team (Bill of Material, diagrams, layouts, Schedule of delivery, customer planning if any, etc.), prepares detailed planning of site activities, org chart, definition of required staff (qty and skills), and needs for tools (identification and budget).
  • In close coordination with the Tender Technical Leader, proposes technical solutions to optimize site activity offers during installation and commissioning phases (cost, duration, requirements for civil engineering activities, cable assembly, etc.).
  • Analyzes or prepares method statements related to installation and quality control of internal & external supplies with support from quality experts.
  • Participates in technical reviews (from the basic design phase) and, based on expertise, assesses site risks and proposes optimized solutions to ensure the solution can be installed and commissioned correctly.
  • Ensures that all needed tools/files to follow progress on site are ready to use, and defines how to use them with support of the Project Manager (event tracker, KPI, delivery tracking, timesheet templates, doc follow up file).
  • Lists all design & operational documents required by FSE to perform installation & commissioning activities and follows up with the document manager to include them in the document list (test scripts, ITP, warranty letters, I&O list, OPC file, etc.). When necessary, prepares Test Script or ITP dedicated to project requirements.
  • Manages tools for site activities; responsible for management of tools & test equipment on site and identifies any potential lack of tools on site.
  • Follows up on non-quality issues: transfers and follow-ups of non-quality issues raised during installation & commissioning to concerned suppliers, factories, or quality departments.
  • Coordinates site activities with the project manager & Technical leader on topics such as kick-off meetings, punch list tracking, ensuring suppliers provide the latest punch list after FAT/I-FAT, contacting factories for missing parts, and transferring diagrams or parts as needed.
  • Return of experience: prepares REX/Lessons Learned files for installation & commissioning and shares outcomes with the site works team; benchmarks customer experience and builds improvement plans with measurable impact.
  • Provides remote technical assistance to internal and external SR teams before and during their on-site missions, as well as to other members of the project team (TL, DL, PM) for installation & commissioning matters.
  • Consults applicable standards concerning assembly and testing activities of supplies when requested.
  • Gathers and communicates needs (quality, performance, functionality) for developing products, solutions, and services in coordination with the concerned departments.
Qualifications
  • Education: Electrical technician with a minimum Bachelor degree
  • Language: English (C1 level mandatory with good communication skills); other languages are an advantage
  • Experience: Ten (10) years of experience, including at least five (5) years in on-site electromechanical testing
Skills
  • Good software tools literacy: MS Office (MS Project), Primavera basic knowledge is an advantage, Acrobat, AutoCAD, Outlook, testing device software (Omicron or equivalent), protection relays setting software
  • Knowledge of Medium voltage / Low voltage equipment, power stations and principles, latest technologies and commissioning test principles
  • Knowledge of distribution protection systems, SCADAs & control systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of Data Center applications, electrical networks

Willingness to relocate to Slovakia is a plus.
