Job summary

Shook and Stone CHTD is seeking an in-house SEO lead to own the program, working with the Director of Marketing to execute content strategy, publish pages, and manage a freelance team. You will direct backlink efforts and collaborate on site development for a single brand in Nevada.

You’ll be mentored by a senior SEO leader with 10+ years of experience, while driving day-to-day optimization, reporting, and compliance across practices. This is a growth-focused, fully remote role.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of SEO experience, ideally at an agency.
• Hands-on content and on-page SEO experience, strong editing instincts.
• WordPress, schema, and technical SEO fundamentals.
• Coordinate freelancers, developers, and backlink team.
• Fluency with SEO tooling (Ahrefs or Semrush, Google Search Console, GA4) and reporting.
• Excellent written English, highly organized, and self-directed in remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the SEO content roadmap alongside the Director.
• Oversee content production from brief to publish and ensure on-brand voice.
• Publish and QA new pages and blog content in WordPress with metadata and internal links.
• Manage freelance writers and editors, setting standards and deadlines.
• Direct backlink strategy and review link quality and relevance.
• Identify on-page and technical SEO opportunities; coordinate with developers on site projects.
• Track rankings, traffic, conversions and coordinate attribution and reporting.
