Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency seeking an SEO and AEO Strategist to own search for a portfolio of B2B and growing-brand clients. You will steer the technical roadmap, prioritize content, and shape the ranking narrative when clients ask what moved.

As the strategic voice at the table, you will work with writers and AI to produce drafts, optimize for Google AI Overviews, and manage traditional organic performance. Remote role with US-focused client interactions.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run audits and fixes yourself.
Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
Agency experience across several clients at once.
Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.

Responsibilities

Own technical SEO for a book of B2B and growing-brand clients: the roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story.
Lead technical audits, site speed improvements, crawl/indexation, schema and site architecture.
Define keyword strategy and on-page optimization with writers and AI producing drafts.
Get clients found in AI search alongside classic organic results.
Oversee links, local search, and multi-location SEO; report in GA4 and Search Console; deliver quarterly roadmaps.
