Job summary

Esri is seeking an engineer to design, test, and document image analysis capabilities across multiple remote sensing modalities. You will collaborate with developers to specify, prioritize, and automate test cases, and execute strategies using both manual and automated methods.

You will validate GIS functionality with Python or C# while creating sample code to demonstrate features, and advocate for user personas by improving UX and workflows. A background in remote sensing is essential.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of engineering experience with software products (COTS/GOTS).
  • Hands-on remote sensing, image processing, or photogrammetry experience.
  • Ability to design and execute test strategies, including automation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; experience with technical docs.
  • Able to work with controlled unclassified information (CUI).
  • U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance with SCI.
  • Bachelor’s degree in geography, engineering, remote sensing, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and document image analysis capabilities for remote sensing modalities.
  • Collaborate with developers and SDETs to specify, prioritize, and automate tests.
  • Prepare and execute test strategies using manual and automated methods.
  • Validate GIS functionality with languages like Python or C# and show sample code.
  • Advocate for user personas by giving feedback on UX and workflows.
  • Support integration and testing of community analytical toolkits and libraries.
  • Share best practices and contribute to ArcGIS help topics, blogs, forums.
