Position Overview:

We are seeking a Remote Sensing Data Analyst to assist in creating precision agriculture reports using open-source imagery (NASA, USGS, Copernicus, Sentinel) and AI tools. This role includes both project work and training when required to understand the reporting process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquire and process open-source satellite and geospatial data
• Analyze agricultural land imagery (crop health, water stress, disease detection)
• Generate detailed, client-ready PDF reports with visualizations
• Document step-by-step processes to teach internal team
• Collaborate on building scalable AI-powered reporting workflows

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience with satellite imagery (NASA, USGS, Copernicus, Planet Labs, Sentinel-2 preferred)
• Familiarity with remote sensing tools (e.g., Google Earth Engine, QGIS, ArcGIS)
• Basic machine learning/data science experience (Python, TensorFlow, or equivalent)
• Strong communication skills (must explain complex technical topics simply)
• Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and coachable

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in precision agriculture, forestry, or environmental monitoring
• Report writing experience (scientific or business reports)
• Part-time initially (Flexible hours: 5–15 hrs/week)
• Remote position with occasional virtual meetings
