Job summary

FNTS is seeking a seasoned Mainframe Senior Engineer to maintain customer environments, perform upgrades, and lead migrations with minimal impact. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team and handle system documentation, incident support, and after-hours coverage.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of Mainframe experience, deep z/OS knowledge, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Remote work from various states is supported, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of Mainframe experience.
• Candidate should be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Knowledge of z/OS concepts, subsystems and storage management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support customer Mainframe environments.
• Migrate and upgrade Mainframe systems with minimal disruption.
• Configure and manage ISV products and hardware upgrades.
• Document systems and respond to incidents as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Support after-hours and weekend deployments as needed.
