Job summary

Great American Insurance Group’s Strategic Comp unit is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Specialist to manage Kansas and Missouri workers' compensation claims remotely. You will investigate, determine compensability, establish reserves, and negotiate settlements while developing effective claim-resolution strategies.

The role requires 10+ years of WC claims adjusting in KS/MO, strong knowledge of state laws, and CST business hours with possible travel.

Qualifications

• Strong communication abilities in written and verbal form.
• Ability to manage complex or high-exposure workers' compensation claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage Kansas and Missouri workers' compensation claims from inception through resolution.
• Analyze claim facts and evaluate coverage, compensability, and benefits.
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve timely and favorable claim outcomes.
• Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves.
• Negotiate settlements and bring about claim resolution.
• Collaborate with defense counsel on litigation strategy and claim resolution.
