Job summary

Grundfos seeks an Applications Engineer in the United States to provide expert technical guidance on product selection, system design, and application optimization for high-purity water solutions.

You will evaluate inquiries, develop conceptual designs, prepare cost estimates, read drawings, and work with Sales to deliver reliable, energy-efficient solutions for customers.

Required: a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 5+ years in applications engineering or related roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales support, or system design.
• Strong understanding of high-purity water treatment processes, hydraulics, sanitary design, and water-quality requirements.
• Proficiency with engineering selection and sizing tools and ability to read drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inquiries to define the technical and commercial scope of proposed high-purity water treatment solutions.
• Develop conceptual system designs and perform preliminary engineering calculations.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and identify value-engineered alternatives.
• Research and evaluate equipment options based on technical suitability, availability, and pricing.
• Collaborate with Sales to align technical and commercial strategy for customer proposals.
• Participate in customer meetings and provide technical support alongside Sales.
• Prepare turnover packages to Project Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
