Job summary

Optiv Security’s 24x7x365 Security Operations Center is seeking a Sr. Threat Analyst to join the AFC team. This fully remote role supports clients across industries with 24/7 coverage and requires shift flexibility including rotating days, mids, and nights.

You will craft incident timelines, analyze threats, and help tune security controls. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in info security, strong SIEM experience (QRadar/LogRhythm/ArcSight/Splunk), and a proven ability to communicate findings to

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent with SOC/MSS/enterprise network experience.
• 2–4 years in information security, typically 3+ years.
• Strong writing and reporting skills including executive presentations.

Responsibilities

• Document and report on potential security incidents with event timelines.
• Maintain understanding of threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits affecting systems and assets.
• Provide analysis of enforcement technologies (SIEM, AV, firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, email security, vulnerability scanners).
• Perform knowledge transfers and train clients on mitigations.
• Develop SOPs, playbooks, and runbooks; QA security alerts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance security analysis efficiency.
