Job summary

Dark Wolf is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to plan, develop, and execute end-to-end testing for embedded systems, edge devices, and network products. This remote role may require travel to VA and field sites as needed, with a strong emphasis on test automation and security controls validation.

The candidate will architect scalable test suites, lead technical efforts, and ensure compliance with federal standards throughout the test lifecycle. A TS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of system integration and testing experience.
• Experience building and scaling test automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash and Linux.
• Experience with Agile development and defect lifecycle management.
• U.S. Citizenship with an active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive test plans, methodologies, and scenarios for functional, performance, reliability, security requirements.
• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites across unit, multi-unit, and system-level tiers.
• Manage containerized test execution environments using Docker and Kubernetes for reliable test runs.
• Integrate automated test pipelines into CI/CD using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Execute lab-based validation, hardware/software testing, and field-site assessments.
• Collect performance data and metrics to drive iterative refinement.
• Identify, isolate, and log defects; perform root-cause analysis with development teams.
• Produce test evidence, execution metrics, and formal test reports to ensure readiness for release.
• Adhere to federal compliance standards, security protocols, version control, and QA best practices.
