Job summary

Valnet is seeking a Senior Editor to support editorial leadership for one of its established consumer technology brands, including How-to Geek, Android Police, XDA, Pocket-lint, or MakeUseOf. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, balancing editing, writing, planning, and team leadership.

You’ll own a core content segment and shape daily coverage, editorial standards, and workflow while guiding a team of freelance writers and ensuring timely publication across platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience editing and writing consumer technology content.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of desktop builds, mobile/handheld devices, operating systems, and enthusiast maker hardware.
• Prior experience leading or mentoring writers in a freelance environment.
• Comfortable owning editorial decisions and managing multiple priorities.
• Strong editorial judgment, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Guide coverage strategy across core computing verticals including OS, hardware, and DIY tech.
• Maintain high standards for accuracy, authority, and clarity in content.
• Manage editorial pipeline from pitch to publication.
• Lead and mentor a team of freelance writers with feedback and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with leadership to balance editorial calendar and business goals.
