Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting experience with proficiency in preparing 1040 and other tax returns.
• CPA certification is required.
• Experience with state and local tax, federal & state tax, tax preparation, income tax, and high net worth clients.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficient in tax software and technology to streamline the tax process.
• Ability to manage multiple clients, budgets, and production goals.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, compliance, and reporting considerations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, real estate, and exempt organizations.
• Develop and maintain understanding of federal and state tax codes.
• Assist clients with estimates, projections, planning, and compliance in all areas of tax law.
• Foster relationships with high-net-worth clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services.
• Collaborate with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development with client service and new business development.
• Research and consult on tax matters; use tax software to prepare, process returns, and research issues.
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
