Job summary

Simplyblock GmbH is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to integrate its distributed storage system with databases and applications. You will prototype storage solutions using pNFS and S3 APIs, and develop automation for deployment of file and object storage.

Expect work on high-traffic, large-scale environments with performance tuning across NAS/SAN technologies. Ideal candidates have strong system programming skills in Python and Bash, plus hands-on experience with distributed storage, data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• System programming with Python and Bash.
• Understanding of block and object storage.
• Familiarity with NAS and SAN solutions.
• Strong understanding of network protocols like NFS, SMB, and iSCSI.

Responsibilities

• Prototype storage solutions based on pNFS, S3 API, and other components.
• Automate deployments of file and object storage solutions.
• Optimize storage systems for performance with caching, load balancing and data sharding.
• Monitor performance and tune storage for large-scale, high-traffic environments.
