Job summary
Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer for a 100% remote role in the U.S. The position targets senior engineers with 10+ years of production systems experience and a strong background in Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability to ensure availability and performance.
You will define SLOs/SLIs, lead incident response, build automation in Python/Go/Java, and collaborate with development teams to improve reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
- 10+ years in SRE, DevOps, or production engineering.
- Strong programming in Python, Go, or Java.
- Hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Production experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with observability tooling.
- Experience leading incident response and post-incident reviews.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Define, instrument, and refine SLOs/SLIs and error budgets.
- Lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
- Design monitoring and tracing with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Build on-call processes and runbooks to reduce toil.
- Automate tooling in Python/Go/Java; replace manual workflows.
- Operate large Kubernetes clusters and CI/CD pipelines.
- Partner with development teams to embed reliability practices.
- Improve security posture and resilience through chaos testing.
