Job summary

Laravel LLC. is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to scale and protect our global infrastructure, focusing on reliable, observable systems and automated operations.

This remote role collaborates across regions to improve reliability for Laravel Cloud, Nightwatch, and Forge. You will drive SLO/SLI governance, automate infrastructure, and bridge development with operations in a fast-growing, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux system administration and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Ability to script and solve problems with PHP, Bash, or Go.
• Strong systems thinking and troubleshooting across complex distributed systems.
• Experience defining and governing SLO/SLI/SLA, capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Excellent documentation and cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect Reliability: establish SRE as a core function and build foundational capabilities.
• System Design: design, build, and maintain multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure and global distributed systems.
• Automation: solve operational challenges through software to reduce toil.
• Observability: design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki.
• Collaboration: partner with product leads and SecOps to make reliability a shared responsibility.
