Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Splunk Engineer SME to install, maintain, and optimize Splunk infrastructure for a high-visibility Cybersecurity Task Order. You will onboard data, build dashboards, and support end users while interfacing with senior management as needed.

Ideal candidates have extensive Splunk experience in distributed deployments, strong scripting skills, and a solid background in cybersecurity standards such as NIST and FISMA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience with cybersecurity emphasis
• 12+ years in system administration, networking, or software development related roles
• 10+ years of Splunk in distributed deployments and architecture
• Current Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect certification
• Experience implementing NIST/FISMA/NSA guidance and cyber hygiene practices

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Splunk infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments
• Onboard data, develop CIM-compliant data models, and optimize searches and dashboards
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address technical problems at network, system, and app levels
• Develop automation for Splunk deployment and orchestration
• Manage multi-site indexer clusters and regular maintenance tasks
• Create comprehensive documentation and best-practice procedures
