Job summary

RTX is seeking a remote Software Developer for Security Tools within the Global Security Services (GSS) Operations team. You will design, develop, and maintain web applications using MVC, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL Server, while aligning with DevSecOps practices.

Work will be in an agile environment, partnering with COE and Digital Technology teams to deliver new capabilities and modernize existing systems. This is a 100% remote US-based role with potential site travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience designing SQL Server stored procedures, views, functions, indexes, and query optimization.
• Experience with DevSecOps: Azure DevOps, Git, Pull Requests, CI/CD, Work item management.
• Experience with C#, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, ASP.NET MVC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain internal web applications supporting GSS Security.
• Develop new features using ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL Server.
• Design and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects for large enterprise datasets.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across application code, SQL Server, and production environments.
• Automate manual compliance processes through software solutions.
• Collaborate with system stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and continuous improvement activities.
• Contribute to maintenance and modernization of existing applications while developing new capabilities.
• Document technical designs, database changes, and application functionality.
• Work across the full application stack including database, backend services, web apps, and production troubleshooting.
