Job summary

APR Staffing is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a 100% remote, contracted role. The candidate will lead hands-on development for high-volume applications, collaborate across teams, and mentor peers while delivering enterprise-grade software using JavaScript/TypeScript/Node, Next.js, and Azure.

The role emphasizes Agile practices, design and debugging, and leveraging AI tools throughout the SDLC to ensure performance and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing software in JavaScript, TypeScript and/or Node.
• 3+ years of experience developing web applications using Next.JS framework.
• 5+ years of experience developing databases using SQL.
• 3+ years of experience deploying and running code in cloud environments (Azure strongly preferred).
• Experience leveraging AI tools to analyze, design, debug, code and other tasks daily.

Responsibilities

• Operate within an Agile Scrum SDLC environment including requirements analysis, software design, prototyping, programming, debugging and testing of system software applications.
• Develop, debug, and deliver enterprise applications leveraging AI tools as part of the SDLC process on a daily basis.
• Participate in technical design and implementation.
• Proactively raise issues if specifications will lead to quality, system performance, or architectural issues in product.
• Collaborate with fellow developers in areas of expertise as well as various roles across the organization.
• Demonstrate self-directed and bias-for-action mindsets to solve problems.
• Proactively mentor fellow developers in areas of expertise.
