Job summary

Gables Search Group is seeking a Senior Scientific Writer for a fully remote US role in the life sciences field. You will convert complex preclinical data into publication-ready manuscripts and grant proposals, supporting publications, funding initiatives, and company growth.

Collaborating with scientists, business development, and leadership, you will produce peer-reviewed manuscripts, grant materials, and technical reports while ensuring accuracy and data integrity across in vivo and in vitro

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, or related life science field.
• Strong scientific writing and editing in pain research/pharmacology.
• Ability to interpret complex preclinical data clearly.
• Experience developing manuscripts and technical reports.
• Knowledge of in vivo and in vitro pharmacology studies.
• Experience preparing NIH SBIR/STTR/DoD/foundation grants.
• Understanding FDA drug development pathways, pain therapeutics.
• Experience with GraphPad Prism, R, SAS, JMP for analysis.
• Strong attention to scientific accuracy and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals.
• Write grant proposals, technical reports, reviews, and white papers.
• Interpret and organize preclinical in vivo and in vitro data.
• Prepare figures, tables, graphical abstracts, and supporting materials.
• Create conference abstracts, posters, and presentations.
• Manage manuscript revisions and responses to peer-review feedback.
