Danaher Diagnostics is seeking a Senior Scientific Director in Neurodegenerative Diseases to shape the scientific and clinical agenda across the portfolio, guiding concept through readout and leveraging external expert networks. The role emphasizes scientific authority, cross‑functional influence, and collaboration with biopharma, academia and diagnostic teams.

The position is global with flexible/remote work options and reports to the Chief Scientific Officer, Neurodegenerative Diseases, within

Qualifications

MD/PhD or PhD in medicine, neuroscience or a related discipline with extensive post-qualification leadership roles
Deep expertise in biomarker development for neurologic disease spanning discovery to clinical deployment
Experience leading clinical strategy and evidence generation programs in neurodegenerative disease
Knowledge of in vitro diagnostic product development and regulatory pathways (FDA, IVDR)
Strong scientific writing and communication to produce protocols, study reports and manuscripts

Responsabilités

Shape scientific strategy for the neurodegenerative disease franchise and translate it into evidence plans
Lead flagship research programs end‑to‑end with academic partnerships and patient registries
Drive external scientific insight by chairing advisory boards and leadership forums
Build expert networks across academia and industry and partner on research and publications
Evaluate external opportunities in neurodegeneration and embed DBS practices across the scientific agenda
