Job summary

Altais is seeking a Senior Coding Analyst, Risk Adjustment, to code medical records for HCC reimbursement and guide clinical documentation improvement across the Medicare Advantage program. You will support audits, provide analytics, and train provider offices while collaborating with clinical and provider network teams.

The role emphasizes accuracy, production targets, and a strong knowledge of ICD-10/HCC coding, documentation, and CMS compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HCC coding experience or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in professional medical coding (CPC/CRC or similar).
• 3–5 years in HCC coding and auditing (chart reviews).
• 1+ years’ experience with EPIC EMR software.
• Medicare Risk Adjustment experience required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, audit, and code medical records for HCC reimbursement, training, and compliance.
• Meet daily productivity targets with high accuracy.
• Audit medical documentation for correct ICD-10 and HCC coding and documentation.
• Query physicians when codes are unclear or documentation is lacking.
• Support HCC coding audits (IDV, RADV, OIG, DMHC) and educate providers.
