Job summary

The Sunrise Project is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join our Global Research team, focusing on corporate and finance insights to accelerate a just transition away from fossil fuels. The role combines rigorous data analysis with strategic storytelling for campaign teams and partners.

You will lead and commission research on LNG, energy finance, and market trends across Asia-Pacific and related regions, collaborating across campaigns to inform strategy and influence policy and investment

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze financial statements, corporate structures, debt/equity and subsidies.
• Strong numerical, analytical and investigative skills with multi-source data.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis.
• Effective verbal and written communication for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and lead on corporate and sectoral analysis across LNG and transportation.
• Lead fossil fuel finance investigations mapping equity and debt financing.
• Track and interpret market trends in LNG and Asia-Pacific markets.
• Collaborate across teams to align research with strategy and campaigns.
• Lead and/or commission research projects with clear terms of reference and budget.
