Job summary

Commence is seeking a Principal Quantitative Researcher to design and execute CMS/CMMI APM monitoring using Medicare data (claims, enrollment, and participant-reported data). You will work with data science and engineering to build dashboards, automated reports, and ML-based anomaly detection on the Commence platform.

The ideal candidate has 9+ years of relevant experience, a Ph.D. or Master’s, and strong skills in communicating with federal clients and mentoring teams.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s with strong health policy/research background.
• Hands-on CMS/CMMI APM monitoring experience.
• Clear, concise federal-facing writing and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead translation of model design documents into monitoring specs using Medicare data.
• Design monitoring frameworks: logic models, measures, data sources, benchmarks, analytics.
• Develop dashboards, automated reporting, and ML-based anomaly detection.
• Prepare monitoring reports and risk summaries for CMMI model teams.
• Mentor junior researchers and manage project teams.
