LHH is seeking a Custom Research Director to lead qualitative UXR engagements for a remote US-based team. You will guide design, execution, and synthesis of insights, mentoring high-performing researchers and building trusted client relationships.

This senior role emphasizes strategic storytelling, client leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering actionable recommendations that drive business decisions and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of market research experience with strong qualitative focus.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Strong experience in qualitative research design, discussion guides, analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and end-to-end execution of complex qualitative and usability research projects.
• Translate client objectives into rigorous research designs.
• Develop analysis plans and provide strategic direction throughout the research process.
• Direct discussion guide and instrument development aligned with objectives.
• Stay current with emerging qualitative research methodologies and UX research practices.
• Oversee timelines, deliverables, quality, and stakeholder alignment.
• Ensure data integrity and analytical rigor; synthesize findings across projects.
• Lead the development of high-quality reports and strategic storytelling for clients.
• Define the strategic story for research deliverables and provide expert-level analysis.
• Lead client presentations and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Mentor and develop qualitative researchers, supporting recruitment and capability-building.
