Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer to join the Tendem project. This freelance, part-time remote role focuses on web scraping, data extraction, and processing to deliver high-quality structured datasets.

You'll work with tools such as BeautifulSoup, Selenium, LangChain, and OpenRouter, addressing dynamic content, proxies, and data quality. English proficiency is required, with compensation up to $30 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development (required).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is a plus.
• Strong technical foundation with scripting, automation, and data extraction workflows.
• Experience with anti-bot mechanisms, proxies, and scalable web scraping architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites, ensuring complete coverage, accuracy, and delivery of structured datasets.
• Leverage tools and custom workflows to accelerate data collection, validation, and task execution.
• Ensure reliable extraction from dynamic and interactive web sources, including JS-rendered content.
• Enforce data quality standards and cross-source consistency prior to delivery.
• Scale scraping operations for large datasets with batching or parallelization and monitor for site changes.
