Job summary

Zohorecruit seeks a Senior Lead Python Engineer to join a large bank project. The role focuses on moving and ingesting data to meet financial regulatory audit requirements, building Python services within a distributed system, and improving CI/CD pipelines with automated testing.

Strong banking experience is required, along with hands-on work with FastAPI, Django/Flask, and asynchronous operations. Remote role, 6–12+ months engagement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering delivering using event-driven architectures and Python.
• 2+ years working with Micro Services, Git, SQL programming using PostgreSQL.
• 2+ years of Unit, Integration, Functional, Data Quality testing.
• 1 year of working on an Agile Scrum delivery project.
• Experience with terabytes/petabytes of data in Financial Services/Banking.
• Good software design experience and knowledge of design principles.
• Strong communication skills with Customer SEs and Product Owners.
• Leadership mentality and teamwork spirit.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and implement designs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python services in a distributed, highly available system.
• Build and maintain APIs, data ingestion, and data transformation components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and optimize code, ensuring quality and reliability.
• Move data to meet regulatory audit requirements and improve CI/CD pipelines.
