Job summary

BizTek People, Inc. seeks an experienced Python data engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and analytics for internal partner teams. You will work with engineers and data scientists to craft scalable solutions and rapidly diagnose issues in production pipelines.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in IT, strong Python data-processing skills, and expertise in SQL, data warehousing, and ETL tools. This is a remote role serving USA-based teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years' experience in IT.
• 8+ years proficiency with Python data processing (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, PyOdbc, PyMsSQL, Requests, Boto3, Simple Salesforce, Json).
• 4+ years strong SQL (Stored Procedures, Triggers, schema design; MSSQL/MySQL).
• 2+ years Data Warehouse tech (Snowflake/Spark/Databricks/Informatica).
• 2+ years ETL tools (Airflow/AWS Glue/Azure Data Factory/Talend/Alteryx).
• 1+ year Hadoop, Hive.
• Excellent verbal communication.
• Knowledge of DevOps/Git for agile planning and code repository.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and launch data pipelines using Python frameworks to move data and provide analytics to partner teams.
• Collaborate with engineers and Data Scientists to client for the best solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in existing data pipelines and build successors.
