Job summary

JBS is a fully remote software company in the United States building backend applications, APIs, and AI-enabled software for clients. This role focuses on Python backend development with full ownership from design to deployment, including integration of LLMs and RAG architectures.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Python experience, strong backend fundamentals, and familiarity with AWS, CI/CD, and monitoring. Remote work is allowed for US-authorized candidates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development in Python.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, AWS, CI/CD, and production monitoring.
• Hands-on LLM integration with at least one shipped LLM-powered feature; AWS Bedrock experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain Python applications, backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Own production software through its full lifecycle, driving initiatives independently from design to deployment and support.
• Integrate third-party services, databases, and LLMs, implementing RAG architectures and vector databases.
