REMOTE Senior Protection & Controls Substation Engineer

This role involves designing, developing, and managing electrical substation projects for utility and industrial clients, with a focus on high-voltage systems from 15 kV to 500 kV. The position is remote, requiring strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high voltage substation projects, including schematics and layout drawings.
• Manage the entire project lifecycle from concept to commissioning.
• Perform calculations such as relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit analysis.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project requirements.
• Utilize SCADA systems for monitoring and control.
• Support construction and commissioning phases, resolving issues as they arise.
• Stay updated with industry trends and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency with SCADA systems and high voltage substation design.
• Experience with project lifecycle management and calculations.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
