Job summary

Capital Insurance Group in California's Central Valley seeks a Claim Representative III - Property. You will handle technical claims, including investigation, evaluation, and negotiations, with supervision in the manager's absence.

The role also mentors junior staff and supports regional audits. Requirements include a college degree or equivalent experience with seven years of claim experience, strong negotiation and contract interpretation skills, and a valid California driver's license.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience and seven years of claim experience.
• Three years’ experience handling complex claim files.
• Knowledge of current claims laws and property insurance case law.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to interpret policy contracts in writing and oral.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize work under critical deadlines.
• Maintain a valid California Driver License and operate a vehicle.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provides the highest company-wide level of technical claim-handling, including investigation, evaluation, and negotiations pertaining to Property, Collapse, Earth Movement and loss of building and structures.
• Supports the team as technical supervisor in manager’s absence and mentors less experienced Claim Reps.
• Assists with Regional audits and Performs other duties as required by the Claim Manager or Director.
