Job summary

Vimo is seeking a Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator to own the design, deployment, and tuning of our PostgreSQL environments powering a state-focused SaaS platform.

You will ensure high availability, security, and scalable performance across production systems, collaborating with DevOps and engineering teams to support millions of users and complex data workloads.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of PostgreSQL DBA experience in production environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IT.
• Deep knowledge of MVCC, WAL, vacuum, replication, and connection pooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain PostgreSQL clusters in prod, staging, and dev.
• Ensure high availability with replication, failover, and DR procedures.
• Monitor performance, tune queries, and implement indexing strategies.
• Plan upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with dev teams on schema and data modeling.
