Job summary

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. seeks a Senior Engineer to design, develop, and maintain our Azure-based platform supporting enterprise applications and services.

You will own lifecycle management from concept to delivery and post-launch support, influencing technology strategy and roadmaps. Responsibilities include AKS/OKE operations, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code with Terraform/Bicep, governance, and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience maintaining cloud-based technology in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure and platform services in Azure.
• Proven track record of improving system reliability and scalability.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform/Bicep), and deployment automation.
• Strong understanding of platform reliability, observability, and performance optimization.
• Experience defining and enforcing security standards, access controls, networking patterns, and operational best practices across enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with Java APIs (Spring Boot, Kafka) and React UIs and troubleshooting techniques.
• Working knowledge of GitLab, Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Proven ability to improve deployment pipelines, platform capabilities, and engineering practices through automation and AI.
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, and related tools.
• Proactive monitoring for updates and research to stay current on cloud capabilities and Kubernetes advancements.
• Design and implement Azure platform architecture, including landing zones, management groups, subscriptions, networking, and governance.
• Manage AKS and OKE environments across production and non-production landscapes, including cluster lifecycle and upgrades.
• Build, maintain, and deploy infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring reusable modules.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, certificate renewals, and workflows.
• Support application teams with Kubernetes deployments, troubleshooting, release management, and environment promotion strategies.
• Manage platform security and access controls including RBAC and Key Vault integration.
• Ensure observability and platform health with Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Participate in architecture reviews and design discussions for scalable, secure solutions.
• Drive standardization across environments for networking, security, monitoring, deployment, and operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and production issues across environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and deployment templates.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, planning, dependency management, and project delivery.
• Mentor onboarding team members and contribute to engineering practices improvement.
• Identify risks and contribute to roadmaps.
