Job summary

MatchPoint Solutions is seeking a Senior PI Historian Developer / PI Systems Engineer for a remote, 12-month contract. The role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing PI Historian–based solutions to support Transmission & Distribution business needs, with emphasis on development, analytics, and extensibility.

You will lead PI analytics, AF models, custom calculations, and reporting, and develop integrations and applications using Python, shell, and C#/.NET.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT/Engineering experience in data platforms or real‑time systems.
• 5+ years implementing AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System in a complex enterprise.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for real‑time systems.
• Proven experience developing Python and shell scripts in production.
• Strong C# / .NET development experience with PI integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance PI Historian–based solutions.
• Lead PI analytics, AF models, and custom calculations.
• Develop custom applications, scripts, and services using Python, shell, and C#/.NET.
• Provide technical escalation support and perform root-cause analysis.
