Job summary

FloQast is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to own payroll for US and Canada, acting as the in-house UKG Pro expert. You’ll handle bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls, coordinate with international providers, and document processes for scalable workflows.

You’ll drive improvements in UKG configuration, controls, and data accuracy, collaborating with HR, Benefits, and Accounting while maintaining confidentiality and independence.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of hands-on payroll experience.
• At least 3 years processing payroll in UKG Pro (UltiPro).
• Experience processing multi-state US payroll and Canadian payroll.
• Experience coordinating international payrolls with outside providers.
• Experience in a growing company with 700+ employees across multiple countries.
• Ability to document payroll processes and drive improvements.
• Strong payroll tax, compliance and internal controls knowledge.
• BS/BA in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CPP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state US and Canada payroll accurately and on time, including bi-weekly payrolls, off-cycle payments, and manual checks.
• Serve as the in-house expert for UKG Pro payroll and Workforce Management Dimensions, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Review and simplify UKG setup, replacing manual workarounds with sustainable processes.
• Write and maintain payroll procedures so payroll can be run by others when needed.
• Act as primary contact for international payroll providers (UK, Australia, Germany, India).
• Reconcile payroll to the general ledger with Accounting each cycle and support audits.
• Maintain payroll controls, including approvals, access, and separation of duties.
• Record and process employee changes and maintain data accuracy from HRIS to payroll.
• Ensure correct data flows for new hires and terminations; manage state tax registrations.
• Collaborate with Benefits and HRBPs on deductions and open enrollment.
• Work with HRIS Manager to optimize UKG usage.
• Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Train and back up team members as payroll grows.
• Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
