Job summary

APS (Arizona Public Service) seeks a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of critical databases across our energy services. You will design, maintain, and optimize complex Oracle environments to support essential business operations.

You will also leverage Oracle Exadata to boost performance, participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable database solutions that meet demanding needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
Seven (7) years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
Strong knowledge of Oracle database technologies and design.
Experience with Oracle Exadata platforms and high-availability environments.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain Oracle database environments supporting critical business apps.
Monitor performance, reliability, and security; identify optimization opportunities.
Partner with infrastructure and project teams to implement scalable database solutions.
Troubleshoot complex database issues in a distributed server environment.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure availability of critical databases.
Leverage Oracle Exadata technologies to enhance performance and resiliency.
