Job summary

Hollstadt Consulting is seeking a Senior MLOps Engineer to own the ML lifecycle and build a scalable SageMaker-based platform. This remote role focuses on delivering end-to-end ML workflows, deploying through Terraform, and maintaining GitLab pipelines across multiple AWS accounts.

You will collaborate with data scientists, enforce CI/CD, monitoring, and security standards, and drive cross-account deployments with strong governance and incident readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in MLOps/ml platform with production ownership.
• Deep AWS expertise, especially SageMaker, plus S3/IAM/KMS/CloudWatch.
• IaC with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines; Docker and Git workflows.
• Strong data science fundamentals: training, evaluation, feature engineering.
• Proficient in Python for ML tooling and services.
• Experience with model monitoring and drift detection.
• Security: least-privilege IAM, secrets management, encryption.

Responsibilities

• Own the ML lifecycle end-to-end: training pipelines, endpoints, registry, and blue/green deployment.
• Build MLOps infra as code: Terraform for SageMaker, S3, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch.
• Run CI/CD: GitLab pipelines with tests, IaC scanning, SAST, dependency checks.
• Ensure train/serve parity: keep preprocessing identical in training and inference.
• Instrument production: CloudWatch dashboards, alarms, drift monitoring, on-call.
• Harden and govern: least-privilege cross-account IAM, encryption, secrets management.
• Operationalize Bedrock/LLM workloads: throughput and guardrails.
• Partner with data scientists: turn experiments into deployable services.
• Bring AIOps: anomaly detection, event-driven remediation and auto-rollback.
• Reduce toil with AI: LLM-assisted log analysis and alert correlation.
