WAHVE, a remote-first insurance services leader, seeks Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter candidates with deep P&C experience for Middle Market assignments with our carrier, MGA or wholesale broker clients.

Responsibilities include risk selection, pricing decisions, and book management while developing strong relationships with producers, brokers and reinsurers. Work from home long-term position with benefits and flexible full- or part-time schedules.

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time work experience.
• 10 most recent years of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty insurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate risk selection with proper insured classification.
• Make critical underwriting decisions on risk acceptability, coverage, and pricing.
• Manage a portfolio of new and renewal business with focus on book management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with producers, brokers, and reinsurers.
• Maintain accurate file documentation in accordance with company guidelines.
• Achieve acceptable underwriting profit levels within assigned book of business.
