Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an API Solutions Architect to lead microservices design in a remote capacity across the U.S. You will own decomposition strategies, establish API contracts, and guide teams through modern cloud-native patterns.

The role requires hands-on architectural leadership across large-scale transformations, with focus on resilience, observability, and security. Remote work option with direct W2 employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS or related field.
• 8+ years software engineering with architecture experience.
• Deep microservices design and distributed systems knowledge.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and container orchestration experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, or C#.

Responsibilities

• Define microservices standards and decomposition aligned with domain-driven design.
• Modernize Legacy monoliths into independently deployable services.
• Design REST, gRPC, async messaging, and event streaming patterns.
• Architect resilient distributed systems with circuit breakers and bulkheads.
• Define data ownership and transactional boundaries with patterns like outbox/saga.
• Lead platform capabilities: service mesh, API gateway, identity, observability.
• Drive performance, capacity planning, and scalability analyses.
• Establish CI/CD and testing standards for high-frequency releases.
• Define observability with structured logging and distributed tracing.
• Collaborate on security for zero-trust and secrets management.
• Mentor engineers and lead architecture reviews across teams.
• Evaluate emerging cloud-native tech for strategic fit.
