Job summary

Sonova is seeking a Software Verification Manager for its medical software line, offering leadership over verification activities across multiple products. The role emphasizes forming a high-performing team, ensuring risk-based and requirements-based testing, and supporting regulatory submissions in a hybrid/remote setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software testing/verification/QA roles.
• 5+ years of management experience in software verification/testing teams.
• Experience with regulated medical software products.
• Strong understanding of verification methodologies and quality practices.
• Experience with requirements-based testing, traceability, risk-based testing, and controlled documentation.
• Hands-on experience designing, executing, and reviewing test cases.

Responsibilities

• Lead software verification activities across multiple regulated medical software products.
• Manage, coach, and develop Software Test Engineers, SDETs, and Manual Test Engineers.
• Define verification strategies and ensure test coverage across various testing types.
• Review requirements, specifications, architecture, and risk docs to establish verification scope.
• Develop and approve verification plans, protocols, traceability matrices, test cases, and reports.
• Participate in hands-on testing, defect investigation, and result analysis when needed.
• Lead defect management, regression planning, retesting, and issue resolution.
• Oversee manual and automated testing strategies and improve automation.
