Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL), Rare Diseases, to execute national medical strategies in the field and develop regional medical business plans.

The role focuses on FUS ALS, PKU, and other LCM indications, collaborating with KOLs, investigators, and multidisciplinary teams to advance patient outcomes. This remote, nationwide field-based position requires 5+ years in medical affairs, with strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder

Qualifications

MD/DO/PhD/PharmD in life sciences required.
5+ years in pharmaceutical Medical Affairs or related field.
Rare disease experience preferred.
Experience with neurology or metabolic disorders is a plus.

Responsibilities

Execute national medical strategies in the field and engage regional and national stakeholders and accounts.
Develop, implement, and adapt regional medical business plans aligned with national strategy.
Contribute clinical and scientific expertise to planning across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases.
Build and sustain relationships with key scientific and medical stakeholders to understand healthcare trends and care pathways.
Support clinical trials and medical collaboration activities including registrational studies and post-marketing research.
