Job summary

Sargent & Lundy Consulting (SLC) is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to support development, conceptual design, and owner’s engineer services for electric power projects. You will evaluate mechanical systems, perform design reviews, and contribute to cost and risk analyses.

Candidates should have a BSME (ABET) and 10+ years in power, with experience in gas turbines, combined cycle, coal-fired, steam, and RICE. Strong communication is essential; travel within the U.S.

Qualifications

• BSME in mechanical engineering from ABET-accredited program with strong academics
• 10+ years in electric power industry, including mechanical systems design
• Experience with gas turbines, combined cycle, coal-fired generation, steam systems, and RICE
• Experience in development support and conceptual design
• Excellent technical communication and writing skills
