Qualifications

• PhD in statistical genetics or related field with 5+ years in industry.
• Deep knowledge of statistical genetics applied to target discovery.
• Direct people management experience mentoring technical talent.
• Experience applying ML to genetic, imaging, or clinical data.
• Publication history and methodological innovation in statistical genetics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of four statistical geneticists.
• Define roadmap and priorities for statistical genetics at insitro.
• Lead ML methodology development and reusable workflows.
• Own GWAS, rare variant, and post-GWAS analyses across internal indications.
• Translate genetic findings into validated programs with therapeutic teams.
