Job summary

Keel Infrastructure is seeking a remote Senior Manager, Data Center Controls to lead the development and enforcement of EPMS and BMS design standards across new and existing data centers. You will own the controls architecture, SCADA/EPMS integration, and alarm management to ensure reliable, automated facilities.

You will coordinate with electrical, mechanical, commissioning, IT/OT security teams and external integrators to drive standardization and continuous improvement as the portfolio scales.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive controls or instrumentation engineering experience, with a focus on data center facilities.
• Demonstrated experience leading EPMS/BMS design on hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center projects.
• Experience as a technical owner or discipline lead on large capital projects.
• Prior experience mentoring engineering staff and external systems integrators.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own EPMS and BMS design standards and technical specifications for all controls systems across new data center development.
• Define controls architecture criteria for EPMS and BMS; integrate metering, protective relays, power quality, SCADA front-end, and fire/life-safety interfaces.
• Establish OT network segmentation, cybersecurity hardening, and integration with IT networks.
• Lead value engineering to balance first cost, lifecycle cost, licensing, and vendor lock-in risk.
• Oversee construction administration, submittals, RFIs, and commissioning coordination for controls systems.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Controls Engineering

PE license a plus

CAP/ Niagara/ PMP certifications a significant asset
