Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Sr. Kibana/Observability Engineer for a remote role supporting a federal healthcare environment.

You will ensure data is onboarded, mapped, visualized, and operationalized through Kibana dashboards, alerts, and reporting, acting as the bridge between data teams and end users. The ideal candidate has Elastic Stack expertise, strong Kibana visualization skills, and experience with data onboarding and API integration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in relevant field with a Bachelor's degree.
• Deep expertise with the Elastic Stack (ELK).
• Strong Kibana dashboarding and visualization experience.
• Experience with data onboarding, mapping, dashboards, alerts, and reports.
• Ability to handle large datasets and perform ML-informed ops.

Responsibilities

• Lead data mapping and organization for incoming data.
• Bridge between data producers and end users.
• Build and maintain Kibana dashboards, reports, and alerts.
• Design native and complex Kibana dashboards and analytics workflows.
• Scale Elastic environments for metrics, tracing, and logs.
• Deploy Elastic APM agents across Java/.NET/Node/Python stacks.
• Configure advanced alerting and Elastic ML-based degradation detection.
• Collaborate with security to improve observability coverage.
• Monitor activity for anomalies and support SLIs/SLOs.
