Conduent in the United States is seeking a Senior Java Developer with deep HL7 FHIR expertise to design and implement payer-focused interoperability services. You will build secure, scalable FHIR R4/R5 servers in a cloud-native Azure environment.

This hands-on role requires strong Spring Boot, Java 17+, and experience with Kafka, MongoDB, and OAuth/OIDC for secure data exchange. You will mentor engineers and contribute to architecture while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional Java development experience.
• 3 years of hands-on FHIR experience (R4 required; R5 preferred).
• Strong Java 17+ and Spring Boot expertise.
• Cloud, data interoperability, and regulatory familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain FHIR R4 servers and APIs for payer workflows.
• Define FHIR profiles, bindings, and data mappings for member/claims data.
• Build and operate Java 17+ microservices with Spring Boot in Azure.
• Develop REST and event-driven APIs using Kafka; ensure security and HIPAA compliance.
