Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC seeks an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join a dynamic internal audit function. The role supports risk-based audits across multiple Ferguson business units, working remotely with optional hybrid access to Newport News, VA offices.

Expect travel 10–35%, including Canada, and collaboration with senior management on control improvements. Responsibilities include planning, fieldwork, risk assessment, and reporting, along with coaching junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area.
• Minimum 4 years’ progressive experience in internal/external audit, accounting, or finance.
• Experience running/leading small teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerBI and Visio; knowledge of Workday, AuditBoard, Oracle, Sage X3 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Executes complete audit cycle: planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, reporting.
• Leads audit engagements and coordinates with management on risk mitigation.
• Drafts engagement findings and compiles into final report and presents to management.
• Performs first-level review of workpapers and provides coaching to audit staff.
• Applies data analytics to identify patterns, anomalies, and trends in audit testing.
